Sculpture Any piece not requiring wall support will be considered sculpture. Whenever possible, sculpture will be displayed away from walls to maximize the Gallery space available for two-dimensional art work. Any number of small pieces displayed upon one of the gallery's pedestals, or a similar-sized pedestal, will be counted as one piece. A single sculpture which sits on the floor or a shelf space or which hangs from the ceiling will be counted as one piece. |

Miscellaneous Regular fees apply to panels. Installations must be pre-approved by the Board of Directors through the special project proposal process. In addition to hanging fees, there is a 15 percent commission on sales (gift shop sales have a 10 percent commission). The Board of Directors may levy additional fees or apply discounts that will apply to all members. Additionally, the Board may assess fees for the use of gallery space as defined by any individual or group through the special project proposal. |
Gallery/art tips Presentation Artwork should be presented in a simple, professional manner. Always use the best materials. Whenever possible use archival materials in making and presenting your artwork. Common materials such as paper, cardboard and tape contain acid that will cause gradual yellowing, fading and deterioration. By using acid free materials, you can help preserve your art for future generations of art lovers to collect and enjoy. The finished presentation front, back, top and bottom - is part of the whole work. It should appear to be new and well crafted, not battered and shop worn or flimsy or fragile. |
Hanging Work should be ready-to-hang, with a wire attached to the frame between one-third and one-quarter of the way down the sides of the piece. Stainless steel braided picture wire works best for smooth hanging and deters rusting. Sawtooth hangers are not strong enough to support the weight of a frame safely. Do not use snap on frames, corner-clips with glass or easel frames designed for tabletop use. Make sure your work is hung evenly with the other artwork around you. |
